Gortynia

Gortynia (Greek: Γορτυνία) is a municipality in the Arcadia regional unit, Peloponnese, Greece.

The seat of the municipality is the town Dimitsana.

[3] The municipality Gortynia was formed at the 2011 local government reform by the merger of the following 8 former municipalities, that became municipal units:[2] The province of Gortynia (Greek: Επαρχία Γορτυνίας) was one of the four provinces of Arcadia Prefecture.

Its territory corresponded with that of the current municipality Gortynia and the municipal unit Gortyna.
