He co-founded the Democratic Party of Albania in 1990 and later served as rector of the University of New York, Tirana.
Gramoz Pashko decided to rejoin the Democratic Party, undergoing a vote on the structures of the latter.
Pashko hit his head on 16 July 2006 while diving in the sea in Himara, southern Albania.
