[7] In September 2024, it was announced the series will return on 10 October 2024 and will also feature Grand Designs UK host, Kevin McCloud, alongside Anthony Burke in a premiere special.

A two-part spin-off series titled Grand Designs Australia Revisited premiered on 15 April 2013.

The series featured the Surry Hills Small House and the Clovelly Modular episodes.

Grand Designs Australia Live launched in Sydney in October 2011[11] and again in Melbourne in September 2012.
