Greene Township is a largely rural area in the southwestern part of Beaver County.

Across the Ohio River, the township runs adjacent with Glasgow, Ohioville and Midland.

As of the 2000 census,[5] there were 2,705 people, 947 households, and 753 families residing in the township.

There were 1,002 housing units at an average density of 40.2 per square mile (15.5/km2).

16.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
