Guhila also called Guhil and Guhadatt[1] is a 6th century monarch of Idar and present day Mewar from 566-568 AD[2] and founder of Guhila dynasty of Mewar.
[3] Earliest reference to Guhila is found on a silver coin near Agra that mentions Sri Guhila on it.
[4] According to Atpur inscription dating VS. 1034 and Chittor inscription VS 1331 Guhila is said to have migrated from Anandpur (identified as Vadnagar) to Mewar region.
