Guillaume Dumont

Guillaume Dumont (born 1889, date of death unknown) was a Belgian sculptor.

His work was part of the sculpture event in the art competition at the 1928 Summer Olympics.

[1] In 1921 he collaborated with the architect Leon Stynen to create a war memorial column (Herdenkingsmonument 1914–1918) in Knokke to commemorate the fallen of World War I.

There is a plaque affixed to the monument on which Dumont's name is misspelled "Dupont".

[4] The memorial consists of four standing figures representing soldiers leaning against a central column.
