It was established in 2002, the society serves as a representative body for the residents of Gulshan Model Town, a prominent residential area in the capital city.

[1] Retired civil servant Abdul Muyeed Chowdhury was the founding president of the Society, serving from 2002 to 2006.

[2] Barrister Omar Sadat is the current president of the Gulshan Society (2024-2026).
