Håkon Wexelsen Freihow

Håkon Wexelsen Freihow (6 April 1927 – 1 March 2019) was a Norwegian diplomat.

He graduated in political science from the University of Oslo in 1956, and started working for the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the same year.

[1] As a side effect of the latter position, he was also the ambassador to Cape Verde and Guinea-Bissau from 1993[2] and Morocco from 1994.

After the project was finished, it was criticized for a budget deficit of 12 million kr.

Freihow had been responsible for the daily affairs of the project, together with Helga Hernes and vice general commissioner Tore Tanum.
