A native of Eatonville, Florida, Clinton-Dix was nicknamed "HaHa" as an infant by his grandmother in response to "Ha'Sean" often being pronounced /hɒˈʃɑːn/ (like "Shaun") instead of the intended /hɒˈsiːn/ (like "seen").
