Habenaria ochroleuca, commonly known as the sickle orchid[2] or sickle habenaria,[3] is a species of orchid that is endemic to northern Australia.
The middle lobe is about 3.5 mm (0.1 in) long and curves downwards towards the ovary.
[2][3][4] Habenaria ochroleuca was first formally described in 1810 by Robert Brown and the description was published in Prodromus Florae Novae Hollandiae et Insulae Van Diemen.
[5][6] The specific epithet (ochroleuca) means "pale-yellow" and "white", referring to the colour of the flowers.
It is common within its range in Western Australia where it grows in seasonally wet areas and on roadsides.
