Hail Tomorrow

Hail Tomorrow is a 1947 Australian stage play by Vance Palmer.

It was published at a time when that was relatively rare for Australian plays.

[1] The play concerned the 1891 Australian shearers' strike and the establishment of New Australia.

[5] Palmer later wrote a radio serial on this subject, Two Worlds.

In the early 1890s, Alec Glover, chairman of the Central Strike Committee in Barcaldine, clashes with William Lane, editor of The Boomerang and leader of the Utopian community in Paraguay.
