Hale Centre Theatre

[1] In 1985, with assistance from their family, Ruth and Nathan Hale converted an old lingerie factory in South Salt Lake into a theater-in-the-round with 220 seats.

Currently, the location at Sandy is the home of the Hale Centre Theatre at the Mountain America Performing Arts Center.

The Hales returned to performing their plays for local Mormon congregations until a talent agent scouted Nathan.

Eventually, the Hales decided to go back to Granger and build another theater by selling land left to Ruth by her father and with financial assistance from their family.

Other locations, such as one in Orem, Utah, and another in Gilbert, Arizona, are owned by the Hales' children and grandchildren.
