Hamill is a rural hamlet in Tripp County, South Dakota, United States.
[5] There is a post office at Hamill, also two churches and a community hall; otherwise, no businesses or services.
Hamill lies about 1.9 miles (3 km) south of No Moccasin Creek, a tributary of the White River.
The town was started in April 1909 on the east side of No Moccasin Lake.
[9] In 1909 the Milwaukee Road surveyed a route from Oacoma, South Dakota through Roseland and beyond but the line was never built.
