Hannah Tempest Jenkins (1855–1927) was an American painter and educator.
Jenkins (née Tempest) was born on March 7, 1854, in Philadelphia.
She also studied at the Académie Julian in Paris, and with Takeuchi Seihō in Kyoto.
Her teachers in included William Merritt Chase, Jean-Joseph Benjamin-Constant, Tony Robert-Fleury Cecilia Beaux, and Robert Vonnoh.
[5] She helped establish the Art Department at Pomona[5] and in 1905 she founded The Rembrandt Club of Pomona College and Claremont to encourage the study of art at the college.
