Harald Søren Salling-Mortensen (1902–1969) was a Danish architect who mainly worked in an around Aarhus in the first half of the 20th century.
He designed several important buildings in the city and his style reflects the development of Danish architecture in his time, with plenty of Nordic functionalist characteristics.
[1] Harald became a master carpenter in 1921, graduated from Odense Technical School in 1923 and studied architecture at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in Copenhagen 1925–26.
Harald established his own architecture design office in 1934 and cooperated with Aarhus architect Axel Høeg-Hansen from 1935 to 1940 whom he had previously worked for briefly in 1923–24.
Harald Salling-Mortensen designed some of the landmark structures in Aarhus, including Handelsbankens Hus, Børglum Kollegiet, and the former Main City Library in Mølleparken.
