Harold Arthur Russell (29 January 1871 – 14 July 1938) was a New Zealand farmer, sportsman, and politician.
[2] On the death of his father in 1913, he succeeded him as a director of stock and station agency Williams & Kettle.
It was originally a little cottage built on the large Flaxmere estate, and named after the homestead where he was born.
On 14 July 1938, he died at his residence, Little Flaxmere, after a short illness, and was survived by five children.
[1] In 1964, much of the land originally owned by his father was amalgamated into Hastings City Council.
