Harry Estill Moore (January 4, 1897 - July 19, 1966) was an American professor and sociologist at the University of Texas at Austin.
Moore was born in Bethany, Louisiana, on January 4, 1897, to James Francis and Mary Ellen Pace.
[5] He also served as chairman of the Social Welfare Studies Committee at the University of Texas during the last year of his life.
[6] Students whose primary research interest is the human experience in crises are eligible to apply for an unrestricted, one-time $20,000 award to support the completion of their dissertations.
[7] Moore died due to complications from a heart attack at St. David's Hospital in Austin, Texas on July 19, 1966, at 69 years old.
