Harry the Dirty Dog

Harry the Dirty Dog is an American children's picture book written by Gene Zion and illustrated by Margaret Bloy Graham.

Harry is a family dog with white fur and black spots who, disenchanted with taking baths, buries the bathtub scrubber and runs away from home.

Matulavich directed a sequel, Harry Comes Home, in 1991, which won the Carnegie Medal for Excellence in Children's Video the following year.

Ten years later, in 1997, Weston Woods Studios released another film featuring this character, narrated by Bruce Bayley Johnson Harry the Dirty Dog received positive reviews.
