It is located at Hasnabad in Hasnabad subdivision of North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal.
It serves Hasnabad and the surrounding areas.
Sealdah-Hasnabad Railway constructed a 762 mm (2 ft 6 in) narrow-gauge line in 1914 as a part of Martin's Light Railways.
[2] The 33.06 km (21 mi)-long 5 ft 6 in (1,676 mm) broad gauge Sealdah–Hasnabad line was constructed between 1957 and 1962.
They were used to haul 8 coach push-pull DEMU trains way back till the complete line was electrified.
