Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKP) is a state polytechnic in Katsina, Katsina is located Batagarawa local government some 260 kilometers (160mil) east of the city of Sokoto and 135 kilometers' (84mil) northwest of Kano, close to the border with Niger.

This Law abrogated the North Central College of Art, Science, and Technology law of 1975 and effectively created the Polytechnic as a legal entity out of the defunct KCAST.

This Law was subsequently amended by the Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic(Amendment) Law of 2003.

Hassan Usman Katsina Polytechnic (HUKP) was ranked among the top 38 schools in Nigeria according to The National Board for Technical Education NBTE.
