Heinrich Gotthold Arnold

Heinrich Gotthold Arnold (March 4, 1785 in Lomnitz [de], Wachau – May 3, 1854 in Dresden) was a German painter.

Arnold was born in 1785 at Lomnitz [de], near Radeberg in Saxony.

He was a pupil of Schubert [de] at the Dresden Art Academy, and studied the works of Titian, Guido Reni, and other great masters in the Dresden Gallery.

He painted figural scenes with little girls, older women, soldiers a.s.o., portraits and sacred subjects for churches in Saxony and Poland.
