Helen Mahon-Stroud

Helen Mahon-Stroud (born 15 April 1968) is a New Zealand netball coach and former rugby union player.

She was introduced to the sport by Black Ferns legend Anna Richards who was also her Canterbury netball teammate.

[1][2] She captained the first New Zealand women’s rugby team in 1989, against the California Grizzlies side in Christchurch.

[1] Mahon-Stroud represented New Zealand at the inaugural 1991 Women's Rugby World Cup in Wales.

[2][4] In 2008, Mahon-Stroud was appointed head coach of the Canterbury Tactix in the ANZ Championship.
