Henry Edward Bright

Henry Edward Bright (30 June 1819 – 18 February 1904) was a member of the South Australian Colonial Parliament.

A son, Henry Edward Bright jr. (1843–1917), was a mayor of Gawler, South Australia.

[2] He, his wife Jane Prudence (née King) and son Henry Edward Bright jr. arrived in Adelaide in April 1850.

[1] From July 1873 to June 1875, he was Commissioner of Public Works in the Government of the Sir Arthur Blyth, and in May 1885 was elected to the Legislative Council of South Australia, of which he was a member until May 1891.

[1] Bright married Jane Prudence King (1816 – 23 Feb 1904) at St. George's in Hanover Square, London on 15 March 1841.
