He was educated at Eton and Balliol College, Oxford, and was called to the Bar, Middle Temple, in 1890.
In late 1899 he succeeded his father in the barony, and he took his seat in the House of Lords on 1 March 1900.
[1] Lord Ludlow was appointed a deputy lieutenant of Wiltshire in 1900.
[2] He became a member of the London County Council for Marylebone in 1904, a post he held until 1907.
Lord Ludlow died in November 1922, aged 57, when the barony became extinct.
