Henry Tufnell (Welsh politician)

Henry Tufnell (born 19 June 1992) is a British Labour Party politician who has served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Mid and South Pembrokeshire since 2024.

[8] Tufnell unsuccessfully stood as a Labour candidate at the 2018 Westminster City Council election in the Vincent Square ward.

[1] In July 2024, Tufnell was elected as the MP for Mid and South Pembrokeshire, with a majority of 1,878, defeating former Conservative Party minister Stephen Crabb.

[12][13] In November 2024, it was reported that Tufnell's family transferred valuable farmland just 20 days before the party's Budget introduced controversial inheritance tax changes affecting farmers.

The timing of the transactions, by his parents, raised questions in the press about potential foreknowledge of Labour's tax plans.
