Herbert J. Rushton (February 14, 1877 – December 11, 1947) was a Michigan politician.
Rushton then studied law with a lawyer in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
On November 2, 1926, Rushton was elected to the Michigan Senate where he represented the 30th district from January 5, 1927, to 1932.
In 1927, Rushton drafted the bill which would create the Upper Peninsula State Fair.
In 1936, Rushton ran unsuccessfully for the position of United States Representative from Michigan's 11th District.
