Herbert Katzman

Herbert Katzman (1923-2004) was an American artist known for his Expressionist paintings.

[1][2] He attended the School of the Art Institute of Chicago before joining the United States Navy, serving during World War II.

In 1952 his work was included in the MoMA exhibition Fifteen Americans.

[4] His work was included in the Whitney Museum annual exhibitions from 1951 through 1957.

[7] In 2000 he received a Lee Krasner Award from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation.
