Hermanus Willem Koekkoek

Hermanus Willem Koekkoek (7 January 1867 – 9 September 1929) was a Dutch painter, illustrator and watercolorist.

From 1887 to 1891, he was in London, where his uncle, Hermanus (The Younger), operated an art dealership.

He preferred to paint dramatic attacks, but also created scenes from the daily lives of the soldiers.

He also exhibited his works at Dutch galleries; including Oldenzeel, in Rotterdam, and Th.
