Hernán Ángel Castañeda Montalvo (born 5 August 1945) is a Peruvian former footballer.
Nicknamed Cachorro, he played as a central midfielder who participated in the Brazil Independence Cup.
Castañeda began his career at the age of 14 within the recently founded Los Caimanes and would play there until 1962.
[1] He played for the Peru national football team in 11 appointments and would score two goals.
[2] He made his debut on 14 May 1969 in a friendly against El Salvador which ended in a 4–1 victory for the Peruvians.
