Hibbertia papillata is a species of flowering plant in the family Dilleniaceae and is endemic to the Fitzgerald River National Park in Western Australia.
Hibbertia papillata is an erect shrub that typically grows to a height of 30–40 cm (12–16 in), its young branchlets moderately covered with minute, star-shaped hairs.
The five petals are yellow, egg-shaped with the narrower end towards the base and 4.0–7.5 mm (0.16–0.30 in) long with a small notch at the tip.
[2][3] Hibbertia papillata was first formally described in 2004 by Judith R. Wheeler in the journal Nuytsia from specimens she collected on the south-east slopes of East Mount Barren in 1986.
[2][5] Hibbertia papillata is classified as "Priority Two" by the Western Australian Government Department of Parks and Wildlife[5] meaning that it is poorly known and from only one or a few locations.
