Highview is a former census-designated place in Jefferson County, Kentucky, United States.
As like Okolona and Ferncreek it began to thrive in the 1950s and 1960s, quickly becoming suburbs and neighborhoods.
In 1969 there needed to be a high school in the Highview area.
[1] According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 16.8 km2 (6.5 mi2), all land.
The racial makeup of the CDP was 89.29% White, 7.78% African American, 0.16% Native American, 0.77% Asian, 0.05% Pacific Islander, 0.81% from other races, and 1.13% from two or more races.
[3] Of the 5,919 households 31.2% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.3% were married couples living together, 10.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.9% were non-families.
