Pandit Hindraj Divekar (pronunciation:[hindɾədʒ diʋekəɾ] हिंदराज दिवेकर) (4 December 1954 – 19 April 2019) [1] was a virtuoso of the Rudra Veena and Sitar.
He received his training on Rudra Veena, for both Dhrupad and Khayal styles, primarily from his father and later from Pandit Pandharinathji Kolhapure and Zia Mohimuddin Dagar.
For Khayal style in rudra veena, he has sought guidance from Pandit Bindu Madhav Pathak.
Pandit Hindraj is also the co-author of the book,- Rudra Veena: An Ancient String Musical Instrument, published in 2001.
His father Late Pandit Hindagandharva Shivarambuwa Divekar was a vocalist, rudra veena player and Marathi stage actor, who had been honored by Morarji Desai, fourth prime minister of India, at Pune in 1978.
