Hlobyne (Ukrainian: Глобине, pronounced [ˈɦɫɔbɪne]; Russian: Глобино) is a city in Kremenchuk Raion, Poltava Oblast, Ukraine.
[2] It was a village in Poltava Governorate of the Russian Empire.
During World War II it was occupied by German troops since September 1941 until September 1943.
A Nazi concentration camp was established in the buildings of the local sugar factory.
The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Poltava Oblast to four.
