Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology

The Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (HCMUT; Vietnamese: Trường Đại học Bách khoa, Đại học Quốc gia Thành phố Hồ Chí Minh, lit.

HCMUT is a member of Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

The predecessor of HCMUT was the National Institute of Technology, established in 1957 by the South Vietnam.

On October 27, 1976, Prime Minister Pham Van Dong signed Decision No.

1976: The school was named Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology according to Decision No.

319-TTg dated December 17, 1980, of the Prime Minister on "Having HCMUT take charge of offering postgraduate programs".

1996: HCMUT became a member of the Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh.

AUN-QA's set of university-level assessment frameworks was built by leading experts in ASEAN with 25 standards, and 111 criteria, covering all aspects of a university such as strategic management, systems, functions, and performance results.

In addition, HCMUT has the largest number of programs meeting international accreditation standards nationwide.

66 programs met international standards such as HCERES, ABET, CTI, ASIIN, AQAS, FIBAA, AUN-QA, etc.

(updated until July 220224) HCMUT aims to become the first university in Vietnam with all training programs accredited by global organizations.
