Hollandse Kamp is an indigenous village of Lokono[2] Amerindians in the resort of Zuid in the Para District in Suriname.
The name refers to a military camp located to the south of the village which was built during World War II.
[4] The military camp is still in use by the Suriname National Army, and is nowadays called Ayoko barracks [nl].
[1] Hollandse Kamp together with neighbouring Witsanti are at the centre of an indigenous land conflict.
[3] Hollandse Kamp however, refers to maps from 1735 onwards where the area is marked as "Free Indian" territory.
