The racial makeup of the township was 94.78% White, 0.27% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.13% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.34% from other races, and 3.48% from two or more races.

There were 291 households, out of which 34.00% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 66.32% were married couples living together, 9.62% had a female householder with no spouse present, and 22.34% were non-families.

13.70% of all households were made up of individuals, and 8.20% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
