Hosne Ara Wahid

Hosne Ara Wahid (28 February 1955 – 6 April 2020) was a Bangladeshi secondary school teacher, NGO manager, and Awami League politician who served as Member of Parliament (MP) for the 39th seat reserved for women from 1996 to 2001.

[1][2] Wahid was born on 28 February 1955 in Moulvibazar to her parents Abdul Mofiz and Ambia Khatun.

Her Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSC) was completed at the Sylhet Government Women's College in 1972.

[2] She visited several countries on behalf of the NGO and of the Bangladesh Government, and addressed the United Nations General Assembly Third Committee (SOCHUM).

[2] In 1977,[citation needed] she married Abdul Wahid, who was the former General Secretary of the Moulvibazar District Awami League.
