How It Ends is the tenth studio album by Irish extreme metal band Primordial.

It was released on 29 September 2023 through Metal Blade Records and was produced by Chris Fielding.

Gavin Brown of Distorted Sound scored the album 8 out of 10 and called the album "that not only celebrates Primordial as a band from start to finish, as well as their history and their legacy, but it also salutes everything that they stand for, and the fact that they are still here doing this after all these years must be appreciated and applauded in equal measure.

"[8] New Noise Magazine rated the album 4 out of 5 and said: "The first half of How It Ends exemplifies exactly what makes Primordial so revered.

If that is the case, How It Ends can hold its head high with The Gathering Wilderness and To the Nameless Dead as being amongst the band's best releases.
