[1][2] In 1980, a modest physics teacher in the small town of Lesogorsk invents a miraculous device that can identify a child's potential talents and aptitude for various professions.
Ten years later, a surprising wave of talented young people from Lesogorsk rises to fame across the country and even internationally.
Upon discovering that the scan of his own son's talents was accidentally destroyed by the boy himself, Gosha urgently searches for the inventor, only to find that he has passed away, dismantling his invention before his death.
At a ceremony honoring the scientist in Lesogorsk, Gosha, inspired by the memory of the inventor, decides to change his life, even if it means doing so at an older age.
