Howard Junker (born 1940) is a writer, editor, and founder of the literary journal ZYZZYVA.
Howard Junker was born in 1940 in Port Washington, NY, where his father taught high school shop and his mother was a primary school teacher.
He graduated from Canterbury School, New Milford, CT, in 1957 and from Amherst College in 1961.
[1] He was a Knight Journalism Fellow at Stanford in 1970 and did a master’s in private school administration at the University of San Francisco in 1978.
