Howard Burton MacDonald was a provincial level politician from Alberta, Canada.
He held a seat in the electoral district of Calgary as an Independent and later a member of Social Credit.
He ran as an Independent candidate under the unity movement of opposition parties opposed to the Social Credit government.
His reason for crossing was due to his belief that the Social Credit Party formed the best private enterprise government in Canada.
[3] MacDonald ran for re-election in the 1952 Alberta general election as a Social Credit candidate.
