Huayllabamba District is one of ten districts of the Sihuas Province in the Ancash Region of northern Peru.
[1] In Quechua, "huaylla" means grassy and "bamba" means plain, e.g. "grassy plain."
"Bamba" is a variation of the word "pampa."
