Formed in 1999,[1] it competed in the now defunct British National League playing its home games at the Hull Arena.

After a promising pre-season, the team under the new owners again ran into financial trouble, resulting in it finishing the 2002 season without any imports.
A new team was formed in 2003 called Hull Stingrays, which played the majority of its time in the Elite Ice Hockey League before folding in 2015.
