Hy Lit

Hyman Aaron "Hy" Lit (May 20, 1934 – November 17, 2007) was an American disc jockey based in the Philadelphia area from the 1950s until 2005.

[1] Lit dominated AM radio in Philadelphia from the late 1950s through the 1960s as one of WIBG's "Good Guys," as his Hall of Fame show drew a 71 market share, unheard of before or since.

Guests on the weekly hour-long show included such musical acts as The Fifth Dimension, The Monkees, The Four Tops and Marvin Gaye.

Since 1982, and many years to follow, Lit hosted a live oldies radio show at different area clubs (most notably the Woodbine Inn in Pennsauken, New Jersey), where he'd close his commercials by saying, "I wanna see your face in the place!"

He shares two children and three grandchildren with his first wife Miriam "Mim" Uniman whom he met while a rising star in Philadelphia.
