It was released in late 1994 through Mercury Records as the second single from the former's debut studio album Creep wit' Me.

Produced by The LG Experience and LoRiDer, who utilized samples from Curtis Mayfield's "You're So Good to Me" and EPMD's "Jane".

The single became a moderate crossover hit in the United States, peaking at number 62 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 16 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, number 5 on the Hot Rap Songs and number 13 on the Hot Dance Music/Maxi-Singles Sales.
