IC 3370 is an elliptical galaxy located in the constellation of Centaurus.
It is located 156 million light-years from Earth[1] and was first discovered by Lewis Swift in 1898.
[4] IC 3370 is classified as an E2-E3 elliptical galaxy with a bright nucleus.
[8] There are also dust patches covering most of the nuclear regions in the galaxy with signatures of X-ray isotopes and cylindrical rotation.
[9][6][10] The inner disk of the galaxy is shown to be rotating at speeds of 100 km s−1.
