I Am Oak

One year later, in 2011, I Am Oak won the Dutch based 3VOOR12 Award for best album for their 2011 release, Oasem.

"[6] The first single 'Palpable' from the album “Nowhere Or Tammensaari" has been featured on several occasions on BBC 6 Music on the Lauren Laverne show, first played on 3 May 2012[7] On 25 June 2012, Lauren Laverne added the single 'Palpable' as her BBC 6 Music 'MPFree' track [8] 31 January 2014 marked the release-date for I am Oak's fourth full-length album.

Most songs on the album have been written a long time ago, some even prior to the debut-album 'On Claws'.

Several platforms rewarded 'Ols Songd' with a four out of five star rating,[10] praising I am Oak's ability to write touching music that excels in the details.

Singer Thijs Kuijken recorded a split EP together with The Black Atlantic.
