Ian Black (15 July 1953 – 22 January 2023) was a British journalist and author focusing on international political issues.
Black received his MA in history and social and political science from the University of Cambridge and a PhD in government from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
[2] Black was a visiting senior fellow at the Middle East Centre at the LSE.
Black had frontotemporal lobar degeneration (FTLD).
He and his wife, Helen Harris, who lived in north London, had two daughters.
