He was born on 1 August 1941 at Vengara in North Malabar as the son of Seythammadath Alikunji and Puthiya Veettil Kunjamina.
Later, he learned to read and write Malayalam from an old age school, which was under the auspices of the Public Library, Taliparamba.
His drama troupe Chirantana has presented some of the best professional plays Malabar has ever seen.
His works Ezhil Chovva and Upaharam won the award from Akashvani for best radio play in the years 1989-'90 and 1992 -'93 respectively.
[2] His work Rajasabha won the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award for Drama in 1997.
