Illabo

ILL a boh) is a locality in the South West Slopes part of the Riverina in New South Wales, Australia.

It is situated about 13 kilometres (8 mi) southwest of Bethungra and 16 kilometres (10 mi) northeast of Junee.

[1][2] Illabo Post Office opened on 1 July 1879.

The town name is said to derive from an Aboriginal word meaning "where", but other sources derive it as a clipping of billabong.
